The railroad I have used as a prototype for the layout featured on these pages, the Chicago & North Western, is a 'fallen flag'. In 1995 it was taken over by the Union Pacific (UP). However, a lot of people still cherish the C&NW and do a great job collecting and assembling information and historical facts about the C&NW. I am a model railroader, not a C&NW expert, and have no personal memories or connections to the C&NW (I live in Sweden and haven't seen a single piece of C&NW equipment in real life!). So, although I have taken a special liking to the C&NW, I leave the task to provide you with more C&NW information to others. If you want to find out more, here are a couple of links to C&NW related sites. |
